INTRODUCTION
This lens of seven elements in four groups was commissioned during the reign of the ASAHIFLEX IA. It is illustrated in the fully chromed silver form on the ASAHIFLEX IA manual. Late batches saw it fitted with black setting and focussing rings. This black form was briefly available in M42 mount for the first ASAHI PENTAX camera.

DESCRIPTION
Most focussing rings show the single distance scale in "Feet", but some have "Meter" from SN 54449. (5 copies known have metric scales; 4 of these are Black, in the last two batches)
Approximately 1000 copies of this lens were made with M37 mounts including some Black copies in the final batches. Nowadays it is rare and sought after. Approximately 1000 copies of the Black M42 version (322) were made including some with M37 mounts.
