Author of “THE ULTIMATE ASAHI PENTAX  Screw Mount Guide 1952 – 1977”  announced.
“Hello Pentax aficionados,
 
I started writing on the second edition of my book. It has been more than twenty years ago since the first edition appeared. The new edition will be aimed more towards collecting and using old Asahi Pentax cameras and Takumar lenses.
 
Don't expect the book to come out soon. It took me 7 years to write the first edition, but it won't take that long for the second.
 
To be on the safe side, the first print order will not exceed a few hundred copies. If this is successful, a reprint will be done.  I hope you will be interested.

I have 5 Takumar lenses that you can add to your serial number database:

28mm f3.5 Super Takumar
35mm f3.5 Super Takumar
50mm f1.4 Super Multicoated Takumar
135mm f2.5 Super Multicoated Takumar
200mm f1.4 Super Multicoated Takumar

I obtained these piecemeal via Ebay and other places to use with my Spotmatic F SPF (Black) and am trying to gather a good sampling of these lenses to shoot with.

I found the 35mm and perhaps the 135mm and 200mm represented in the serial numbers list, but the 28mm and 50mm appear to be unrepresented.

Hello,

I have a set of ultra-chromatic Takumar (1.45/85) going on the block soon. I used some of the info from your site for my listing, so I thought you might be interested in knowing when the auction goes live.

I sell via the bcauction.ca website, on behalf of my employer, the University of Victoria, in BC, Canada.

At the very least, I can send you pics if you want them, and the serial no. of the set is 2471890.

No relation to Frank Wylie, just a coincidence.

My lens is not on your list. You are missing some serial numbers.
I purchased it in 1972 new with a Pentax SL.
Pentax 2.0 55mm Super Takumar SN: 4771855
